To learn more about PCA's Gender Equity Initiative, and for tools, resources, and more, click here. Thank you for your partnership, Alliance For A Healthier Generation and Women's Sports Foundation! While we have come far, there is still so much to do, and it is an honor to celebrate two organizations so prominently on the forefront of fully realizing gender equity in sports and in life. The pledge is an affirmation that all of us value fairness and equity for everyone, that we will work to demand that our civil rights are protected and that we demand all students be protected under Title IX. We have partnered with Alliance for a Healthier Generations to encourage our students to choose healthier food options. Leveraging our joint national footprint, we recruited our community and platforms to take the pledge to signify that we are demanding to fight until the full promise of Title IX is real. PCA partnered with the Women's Sports Foundation all month long as part of a collective of organizations to launch the Demand IX pledge. Its mission is to enable all girls and women to reach their potential in sports and life, provide financial fuel to aspiring champion athletes, fund groundbreaking research, and help communities get girls active. Our second honoree, the Women’s Sports Foundation, was established in 1974 by Billie Jean King to advance the lives of women and girls through sports and physical activity. The event brought together the leading minds in health, sports, and education to have an impactful dialogue around topics ranging from greater inclusion and belonging in sports to meeting the whole-child needs of a healthier generation. Just a week ago PCA partnered with the Alliance For A Healthier Generation for the ‘Girls in Motion virtual Summit’, hosted by Chelsea Clinton in celebration of the 50-year anniversary of Title IX. Driven by this passion to ensure that all young people deserve a chance to live healthier lives, their work has impacted up to 28 million kids across the country. Our first honoree, the Alliance For A Healthier Generation, for more than a decade has worked with schools, youth-serving organizations, businesses, and communities to empower kids to develop lifelong healthy habits by ensuring the environments that surround them provide and promote good health. Given the exciting anniversary of Title IX, this month it only felt right to honor two Partners of the Month for June, so please join us in celebrating both the Alliance For A Healthier Generation and Women’s Sports Foundation!
